Vendor Requirements:
All vendors must have a valid event license through both the city and state. We do not verify licenses—it is the vendor’s responsibility to ensure compliance and to handle all applicable taxes.
Please be sure to read the cancellation policy below
Thank you for your interest in our festivals!
After you submit the application form, you will receive an email confirming that we’ve received it. Please look at deadlines and notification dates on the application to know when you might hear from us regarding your application status.
Please note that if payment is not received by the deadline, we reserve the right to offer your space to another applicant.
We’re excited to review your application and hope to see you at the festival!

Colorado Department of Revenue – Special Event License
Important: This license cannot be obtained instantly. The Colorado Department of Revenue requires the completed application, fee, and a copy of your photo ID to be submitted. Important
The Colorado State Sales Tax License does not replace the City of Durango Event Business License, and the City of Durango license does not replace the Colorado State Sales Tax License. Vendors are responsible for obtaining both required licenses before the festival.
Vendors who do not have the required licenses at check-in may not be permitted to participate in the festival.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation by Vendor (Artist/Artisan):
Early Cancellation (e.g., >30 days): Often results in a partial refund (50-100%) which will be put towards a future event, sometimes minus a small fee, or 100% if the spot is filled.
Late Cancellation (e.g., <14-30 days): Usually results in forfeiture of all fees, as the spot can't be easily replaced.
No-Show/Failure to Follow Rules:
Vendor forfeits space and fees (no refund).
Key Policy Elements to Look For
"Rain or Shine" Clause: Festivals are rarely canceled for normal rain or even snow; vendors need to prepare for all weather unless it's unsafe.
Best Practices for Vendors
· Read the fine print: Understand the exact deadlines and conditions before paying.
· Communicate Early: Give as much notice as possible if you can't make it.
